Teens Code Camp Donation/Fundraising Policy

Effective Date: March 1, 2025.

1. Purpose

This Donation/Fundraising Policy outlines how Teens Code Camp (“Organization”) accepts and manages donations to support its mission of providing free coding education to teens.

2. Acceptance of Donations

The Organization gratefully accepts donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Donations can be made through the following methods:

• Online: Via the Organization’s website using secure payment processing.
• Mail: By sending a check or money order to the Organization’s mailing address.
• In-Person: At designated events or by contacting the Organization directly.

3. Use of Donations

• General Support: Unless otherwise specified by the donor, donations will be used to support the Organization’s general operations, including:
  • Program development and delivery
  • Instructor and mentor recruitment and training
  • Technology and equipment acquisition
  • Administrative costs
• Restricted Donations: Donors may designate their donation for a specific purpose or program. The Organization will make reasonable efforts to honor such restrictions.

4. Donor Recognition

• The Organization will acknowledge and thank donors for their contributions.
• Donors may choose to remain anonymous.
• The Organization may publicly recognize donors, unless requested otherwise, through its website, social media, or other channels.

5. Tax Receipts

• The Organization is a registered charity and will provide official tax receipts for eligible donations in accordance with Canadian tax laws.
• Donors should consult with their tax advisors for specific guidance on claiming charitable donations.

6. Refunds

• General Donations: Generally, donations are non-refundable.
• Restricted Donations: If the Organization is unable to fulfill the donor’s specific restriction, the donor may request a refund.

• All fundraising activities will be conducted ethically and transparently, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• The Organization is committed to transparency and accountability in its fundraising practices.
